From March 9 to 10, the First National College Student Career Planning Competition Hubei Provincial Finals, hosted by the Department of Education of Hubei Province and organized by Hubei University, came to a close at Hubei University. The competition lasted 6 months and attracted more than 130 colleges and universities in the province, with more than 800,000 college students applying for the competition. In the end, 152 contestants stood out to enter the finals, and 2 students from WHSU were shortlisted.

Fan Xinyue

After an intense competition, Li Jiayue, a postgraduate majoring in art, who was admitted to the School of Journalism and Communication in 2022, won the Gold Award in the Career Arena (Higher Education Group), and Fan Xinyue, an undergraduate majoring in dance performance, who was admitted to the School of Arts in 2001, won the Silver Award in the Growth Arena (Higher Education Group). Ren Ke, the counsellor of the School of Arts, won the Outstanding Instructor Award (Higher Education Group). Besides, WHSU was awarded the Outstanding Organization Award.

WHSU attached great importance to this competition, attracting more than 5,000 students at school to participate in the competition through active promotion and mobilization. Meanwhile, with the competition as an opportunity, a number of simultaneous activities such as career planning, employment guidance and recruitment presentations were organized to promote the implementation of the competition concept of "promoting learning, teaching and employment through competition", and to make every effort to facilitate the high quality and full employment of graduates.
