On May 19, the graduation showcase of the fashion performance from our College of Art was successfully held at the Central Hall of Beijing 798/751 Art Zone. This marked the college's debut appearance at the China Graduate Fashion Week & "Exhibition of Chinese Universities' Achievements in Fashion Education."

During the awards ceremony, our College of Art was honored with the "2025 Fashion Talent Development Achievement Award," while Fashion Performance students Zeng Junzhe and Lin Yurou won the "2025 Best Accessory Styling Award."

The complete presentation at this event—from creative fashion design and show visuals to professional modeling performances—were part of the graduation projects by Fashion Performance students. The collections highlighted innovative interpretations of intangible cultural heritage techniques, such as batik dyeing and patchwork, while incorporating "Guochao" (China-chic) elements that blend sports and artistic expression. These works fully demonstrated the college's innovative teaching philosophy of promoting learning through exhibitions and performances.

In recent years, our College of Art has pioneered reforms in graduation assessment methods, replacing traditional thesis requirements with a "fashion design + live showcase" evaluation system. This approach has enhanced students' creative thinking and industry-ready skills, paving the way for cultivating high-caliber professionals who meet the demands of the fashion industry.
Moving forward, the college will deepen its exploration of traditional craftsmanship's contemporary value, seek sustainable fashion solutions, and fuse Eastern aesthetics with modern design language to create innovative works that balance cultural heritage, eco-consciousness, and functionality. Through these efforts, the college aims to contribute a "WHSU model" to the innovative development of China's fashion education.
