From November 30th to December 1st, the 13th "Peach and Plum Cup" National Youth Dance Education Achievement Show —the Invitational Performance of International Ballroom Dance was held at the Dance Theater of Beijing Dance Academy, which is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China and organized by the Department of Technology and Education of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Beijing Dance Academy.

Wang Ying, a teacher from the School of Art of WHSU, was qualified for the show with her original work "The River All Red". Presented in international ballroom dance, the work is uniquely charming by telling the stories of China, promoting the Chinese spirit, and highlighting the youth energy. It clearly echoes with the theme in its movements, and looks innovative accompanied by melodic music. The actors are energetic and highly expressive, demonstrating WHSU's achievements in talent training and discipline construction.

The "Peach and Plum Cup" is said to be a triennial national professional dance competition organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, crowned as the "Oscar" of Chinese dance. The 17 works participating in this invitational show of international ballroom dance were selected from 41 outstanding shows from art schools across the country.
