Zhang Siqian Broke an Asian Record!

From November 24th to 28th, the 18th CMAS Asian Finswimming Championship was held in Phuket, Thailand. Zhang Siqian, Zeng Wenjun, and Shan Yong'an, athletes of WHSU's fin swimming team, participated in the game on behalf of the national team and ended with excellent performances, winning a total of 5 gold medals and 1 bronze medal. In particular, Zhang Siqian broke the Asian record in 50-meter fin swimming.

Teams from 17 countries and regions in Asia participated in the championship. After eight pre-finals in four days, the Chinese team won a total of 12 golds, 8 silvers and 6 bronzes. WHSU athletes contributed excellent performances. Zhang Siqian won the gold medals for men's 50-meter fin swimming, 50-meter underwater swimming, 100-meter scuba swimming, 4X50-meter fin swimming mix relay, and 4X100-meter fin swimming relay, and broke the Asian record for 50-meter fin swimming, becoming the athlete with the most gold medals in this championship. Zeng Wenjun won the gold medal for the men's 4X100-meter fin swimming relay and the third place in the 100-meter fin swimming. Shan Yong'an won the gold medals for the 4×50-meter fin swimming mix relay, and the men's 4×100-meter fin swimming relay, as well as the second place for the men's 50-meter fin swimming, and the third place for the men's 400-meter scuba swimming.

WHSU's athletes showed their great braveness and perseverance in this finswimming championship, and constantly made new breakthroughs. They demonstrated the outstanding Chinese sportsmanship to the world with their strength and courage.
