China News (Reporter: Li Xin): On November 15, the closing ceremony of the 1st Student (Youth) Games of the People’s Republic of China was held at Bronze Drum Square in Mount Qingxiushan Scenic Area, Nanning, Guangxi. At the Student (Youth) Games, athletes of Wuhan Sports University (WHSU) carried forward the “spirit of lanterns”, upheld the values embodied in its school motto of “Fair Play, Courage, Honesty, Perseverance, Critical Thinking and Acting”, struggled hard, and were brave enough to take on challenges. They won 10 gold, 13 silver and 13 bronze medals, adding glory to WHSU.

Huang Yaoshu Men’s Longboard (Open Group)
On July 11, in the final of Men’s Longboard (Open Group) held in the Beihai Water Sports Training Base, Huang Yaoshu won the gold medal with a total of 1,000 points, which was the first gold medal at this year’s Student (Youth) Games.
Jia Yuchen Taekwondo: Women’s 73kg (Open Group)
On October, 29, the finals of taekwondo (Open Group) concluded in the Gymnasium of Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction. Jia Yuchen, a member of the taekwondo team of the School of Competitive Sports defeated her opponent from the team of Yulin City and won the gold medal in the women’s 73kg after a fierce combat, which was the first gold medal in taekwondo of Hubei Province.
Cao Luwen Women’s 200m Bi-fins Final (Open Group)
On November 1, in the Women’s 200m Bi-fins Final held in the Jiangnan Training Base of the Sports Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Cao Luwen swam for 1’48’’49 and finally won the gold medal by a margin of 0.15 seconds.

On November 8, the final of Men’s Optional Taijiquan (University Group) of the Campus Group Wushu Routines was held in the Gymnasium of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. With a whole set of flowing, rigid and flexible movements, Kong Weishuo got an outstanding score of 9.703 and won the gold medal in the event.
Cheng Wanting Men’s and Women’s 4×100m Medley Relay (University Group B)
On November 8, the final of the Men’s and Women’s 4×100m Medley Relay (University Group B) of the Campus Group Swimming was held in the swimming and diving complex of Guangxi Sports Center. Cheng Wanting swam seamlessly with three other teammates and finally won the gold medal with 3’53’’54.
Tan Haodong International Greco-Roman Wrestling 60kg (Open Group)
On November 8, the final of the International Greco-Roman Wrestling 60kg (Open Group) was held in the Gymnasium of Baise Sports Center. Tan Haodong made it all the way to the final, where he won the gold medal by a large margin.

On November 11, in the final of Gymnastics: Women’s Individual All-Round B (Open Group), Peng Yuting performed a series of high quality movements stably and won the gold medal with a score of 53.325.
