On October 5, the final of weightlifting event-men's 96kg of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou was held in the Xiaoshan Sports Center Gymnasium. Tian Tao, a 2016 undergraduate from the School of Sports Training, WHSU, won the championship with a total score of 390kg.

Tian Tao kept the lead in hoisting 180kg in the snatch and 210 kilograms in the clean and jerk, successfully pocketing the gold medal.
