A delegation from Vietnam's Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) visited WHSU on the afternoon of November 17. Zhu Lei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of WHSU, along with heads of the College of International Education and the Office of International Affairs, attended the symposium.

Mr. Zhu, on behalf of WHSU, extended a warm welcome to the delegation from TDTU and provided an overview of WHSU's development history, unique educational characteristics, and recent achievements. He stated that WHSU has consistently pursued an open-door strategy, establishing exchange and cooperation relationships with over 100 universities, sports education and research institutions, and globally renowned sports organizations across more than 30 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. He emphasized that the geographical proximity, cultural affinity, and deep friendship between China and Vietnam offer unique advantages for cooperation between their higher education institutions. Looking ahead, he expressed hope that the two universities would leverage their respective strengths to collaborate in areas such as talent cultivation, academic exchange, and scientific research.

Le Thi Minh Dao, representing TDTU, expressed gratitude for the warm reception from WHSU. She then presented a summary of TDTU's development and conveyed a keen interest in fostering extensive exchange and cooperation between the two institutions across various aspects of sports science, including talent training, program development, and scientific research.

At the meeting, the head of the College of International Education outlined the college's operational status and the academic performance of Vietnamese students. Separately, the head of the Office of International Affairs provided detailed answers to questions raised by the representatives of Vietnamese students regarding study and training, as well as qualification applications.
