On March 31, Vice President Lin Xu and Visiting Professor Yuan Tianpei of Bangkokthonburi University (BTU) visited WHSU as part of a delegation exchange.

Lyu Wangang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC and President of WHSU extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced WHSU's institutional history, academic strengths, and international development. The two sides conducted detailed discussions on advancing practical cooperation in faculty and student exchange programs and high-level talent development.

Lin outlined BTU's founding history, academic strengths, and international cooperation background. He conveyed his hope that, by making full use of the complementary strengths of both institutions in science, education, and research, the two sides could jointly advance a "2.5+0.5" joint doctoral training program, contributing positively to the exploration of new models for high-level sports talent development between Chinese and Thai universities.

A symposium was also convened, during which both sides held constructive exchanges on short-term and semester-length student exchanges, faculty reciprocal visits, and collaborative initiatives in curriculum development and research. The session concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
