The 2025 National Sport College Basketball Association (SCBA), China's premier collegiate basketball tournament, commenced on May 23 at Pingyuan County Gymnasium in Dezhou, Shandong. Organized by Shandong Sport University (National Basketball College) under the joint guidance of the General Administration of Sport of China's Department of Science and Education, the Chinese Basketball Association, and the National Sports Training and Competition Alliance, the event culminated in a remarkable achievement for WHSU—both our men's and women's teams claiming second-place national honors after ten grueling days of competition.

As a perennial powerhouse in the SCBA, WHSU has consistently achieved outstanding results in recent editions of the tournament. The 2025 season saw fierce competition among 18 men's and women's teams from sports universities across China. Demonstrating exceptional skill and determination, WHSU's basketball teams fought their way through the tournament, ultimately earning dual silver medals—making WHSU the only institution to advance both teams to the championship finals.

During the competition, Vice President Pan Gaofeng, who serves dual roles as Standing Committee Member of the CPC WHSU Committee and Chairman of the National Sports Colleges Competition Alliance, along with representatives from the Training and Competition Department and the School of Physical Education, visited the Shandong venue to support and cheer for our athletes
