From November 25 to November 28, 2024, the National Table Tennis Championships for Sports Universities were held at the Shanghai University of Sport. The Wuhan Sports University (WHSU) table tennis team delivered an exceptional performance, winning three gold medals and four silver medals.

The women’s team, composed of Luo Yuexuan, Zhu Ye, Tang Shuhang, Xia Ruiqi, and Li Qingyue, dominated their matches, winning the women’s team championship with decisive 3:0 victories. Among them, Zhu Ye showcased her tenacity and fighting spirit, advancing to the finals and ultimately claiming the women’s singles championship. In the men’s doubles competition, Qu Xufan and Zhao Hongzhe performed under pressure with seamless teamwork, securing a valuable gold medal.

The men’s team, represented by Xiao Zhiheng, Zhao Hongzhe, Qu Xufan, Liao Yangjie, and Zhou Zihao, demonstrated excellent coordination and earned the men’s team runner-up title. In the women’s doubles event, Tang Shuhang and Zhu Ye staged a remarkable comeback from a 0:2 deficit in the semifinals to secure the women’s doubles runner-up. Additionally, Tang Shuhang and Xiao Zhiheng persevered and demonstrated steadfast determination to clinch the mixed doubles runner-up. Finally, in the registered women’s singles category, Luo Yuexuan displayed composure and competitiveness, earning the runner-up title.
