
On September 24, the first gold medal of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou was clinched in the rowing event, women's lightweight double sculls. Qiu Xiuping, a 2018 undergraduate student at the School of Competitive Sports, WHSU, teamed with Zou Jiaqi, a jointly trained athlete of WHSU, won this first Asian Games gold medal for the Chinese delegation in the final with a timing of 7:06:78.
