BKSP Delegation Visits WHSU

A delegation from Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP), the national highest sports institute of Bangladesh, visited Wuhan Sports University (WHSU) on May 26 for exchange activities. The visiting delegation was headed by Brigadier General Mohammad Munirul Islam, Director General of BKSP, accompanied by Mr. Mohammad Kabirul Islam Khan, a senior assistant secretary from Bangladesh's Ministry of Youth and Sports, and renowned cricket coach Mr. Asadul Haque Dul. It was received by Vice President Zhu Lei, also Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee of WHSU, along with Li Qun, Party Branch Secretary and Director of the Cooperation and Development Department at Hubei Provincial Center for International Science and Technology Exchange.

In his welcoming remarks, Vice President Zhu Lei showcased WHSU's academic excellence, particularly in specialized discipline development, innovative talent cultivation models, and international exchanges. "This visit represents a valuable opportunity to establish a sustainable framework for collaboration that leverages our respective strengths and resources," Zhu stated, emphasizing the potential for mutual growth and win-win cooperation.

Brigadier General Islam presented BKSP's development status and experience in sports education. "There is tremendous enthusiasm in Bangladesh for integrating traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with modern sports rehabilitation techniques," he noted, proposing concrete areas for cooperation including joint research in sports rehabilitation methodologies, promotion of TCM diagnosis and treatment methods, and student exchange programs.

Following productive discussions, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize their partnership.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from the Department of Development Planning and Discipline Construction, Department of International Exchange, School of Sports Medicine, and Affiliated Hospital, along with faculty members.
