Prof. Wang Yongtai from the College of Health Sciences and Technology, RIT Makes an Academic Presentation at WHSU

On the morning of October 25, Prof. Wang Yongtai, Dean of the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and Distinguished Alumnus of Wuhan Sports University (WHSU), delivered an academic presentation at the invitation of WHSU.

In the presentation, Prof. Wang introduced the application of IVF, AR/VR and AI in rehabilitation and sports training. Drawing from his own research, which investigated the impact of instant video feedback on the improvement of wheelchair operation skills by patients with spinal cord injuries, he provided the audience with a comprehensive insight into the significant role that IVF, AR/VR and AI play in enhancing exercise rehabilitation and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.

Prof. Wang's research focuses on the wheelchair skill training and rehabilitation of people with spinal injuries, and wheelchair Taichi. His work has garnered substantial research funding, totaling nearly 1 million dollars, from organizations such as the National Institute on Disability Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) and the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA). In addition, he has authored more than 60 academic papers, presented over 90 meeting abstracts, and delivered more than 100 academic presentations.
