The five-day “Feeling at Home · Journey to the East” & 2025 Hubei Story Night was held in Wuhan, an event sponsored by the Office of Hubei Cyberspace Affairs Commission. Over a dozen foreign bloggers and international students from France, Russia, Brazil, Myanmar and other countries gathered in Wuhan, strolling through Hankou's streets to appreciate the city’s rich historical and cultural heritage, and experience its profound humanistic atmosphere.

Among the participants was KHINE NYEIN THAR (Chinese name "Kai Nianda"), a Myanmar doctoral candidate in Sports Humanities and Sociology at Wuhan Sports University. As part of the cultural delegation, she embarked on an enlightening journey through Hubei's landmarks—from the Bagong House to Zhan Tianyou’s Former Residence, from the iconic Yellow Crane Tower to Dongfeng Voyah's automotive facility, gaining firsthand insight into the province's long history and vibrant technological innovation.

On May 29, the “Feeling at Home · Journey to the East” & 2025 Hubei Story Night gala was held at the lecture hall of School of Optical and Electronic Information, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Wuhan Sports University presented the Tai Chi and martial arts performance “The Charm of Tai Chi,” choreographed by instructor Li Yanan from the School of Martial Arts and performed mainly by international students from the International Education College. The seamless movements on the stage vividly embodied China’s 5,000-year cultural essence. Each fluid motion, with its perfect balance of movement and stillness, contained the ancient wisdom of Tai Chi—where hardness and softness alternated with each breath, movement and stillness harmonized within limited space. The Tai Chi performance demonstrated measured opening and closing, motion within stillness, and the philosophy of overcoming hardness with softness while embracing inclusiveness. This was not merely physical movement, but a profound interpretation of Eastern philosophical harmony.

KHINE NYEIN THAR, the Myanmar student from Wuhan Sports University, shared her study experience as a guest representative at the gala. A former professional tennis player in Myanmar who achieved excellent results in various Asian and international competitions and received the Myanmar Youth Award for Sports Excellence, she came to China for studies after retirement. “No gold or silver compares to the bond between 'Pauk-Phaw' (brothers). My tennis racket carries the mission of sports diplomacy and witnesses the 'Pauk-Phaw' friendship between China and Myanmar. In the future, I will devote myself to sports education and dedicate my knowledge to China-Myanmar sports cooperation and cultural exchanges, making sports a bond connecting our two peoples,” she said.

The “Journey to the East” in Wuhan was a wonderful tour full of surprises and rewards. KHINE NYEIN THAR and the delegation immersed themselves in the extensive Chinese culture and explored the enthusiastic "Riverside City" of Wuhan. In her future study life, may KHINE NYEIN THAR continue pursuing her dreams and shine in her beloved field. We also hope she can become an envoy of cultural exchange, building a bridge of friendship between China and Myanmar.
