The event was hosted by the Hubei Sports Association of Students, organized by WHSU, and title-sponsored by Yonex (Shanghai) Sports Equipment Co., Ltd. and Jingshan Guobao Qiaomi Rice. Compared to the previous edition, new categories were introduced, including groups for doctoral students, university presidents, and department-level officials. The faculty division was further optimized with additional team categories. The tournament also introduced the “TISSYS Tennis Intelligent Service System” to provide technical support. More than 120 referees, volunteers, and staff members were assigned to service the event, bringing the total number of participants to over 1,000. This made it the largest and most diverse edition in the tournament’s history in terms of both scale and number of categories.

The opening ceremony was attended by Liu Yanbo, Vice Chairman of the Hubei Sports Association of Students, Member of the CPC Standing Committee and Vice President of WHSU; Miao Shengjie, Deputy Director of the Physical Education, Health and Art Education Division of the Department of Education of Hubei Province; Yang Yiwu, Secretary General of the Hubei Sports Association of Students and Dean of the School of Physical Education, Wuhan University of Technology; Zhang Haojie, Director of WHSU’s Training and Competition Office and a board member of the China Student Sports Federation; Ke Yong, Director of the Tennis Committee of the Hubei Sports Association of Students and Dean of WHSU’s Tennis Academy; and Zhao Guangfeng, General Manager of Yonex (Shanghai) Sports Equipment Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Xiaoxiao Trading Co., Ltd.

The opening ceremony solemnly began with the national anthem. Liu Yanbo officially declared the tournament open, followed by Miao Shengjie delivering the opening address. Representatives of the referees and athletes then took their oaths.

The matches were played in an intensely competitive atmosphere. The athletes, full of energy and enthusiasm, demonstrated their skills with powerful serves, fierce baseline rallies, and unexpected net plays, showcasing both their technical proficiency and sportsmanship.

After two days of fierce competition, WHSU’s teams performed exceptionally well, showing great teamwork and determination.
