WHSU Students Achieve Remarkable Results in Hubei University Gymnastics Teaching Championship

From May 25 to 26, the 9th Hubei University Gymnastics Teaching Championship for Physical Education and Sports Departments was held at Hubei Normal University. WHSU’s athletes demonstrated excellent teamwork, superb professional skills, and outstanding on-site performance, securing the first place in the overall team score. This marks the ninth consecutive year that WHSU has claimed this title. WHSU also received the Sportsmanship Award (Team).

In the team events, WHSU won the Men's Group B (Level II) Team Championship, the Women's Group B (Level II) Team Championship, the Mixed Jump Rope Team Championship, and the Women's Group C (Level III) Team Third Place. In the individual events, WHSU’s athletes won seven gold medals, five silver medals, and seven bronze medals in the Men's and Women's Group A (High Level) competitions. In the Men's and Women's Group B (Level II) competitions, they won one gold medal, seven silver medals, and one bronze medal. In the Men's and Women's Group C (Level III) competitions, they won one gold medal, two silver medals, and two bronze medals. Additionally, one student won a bronze medal in the 30-second jump rope event (individual), and two students received the Sportsmanship Award (individual).

The Championship was organized by Department of Education of Hubei Province and the Hubei Provincial Physical Education Steering Committee of Colleges and Universities, and hosted by Hubei Normal University. It encompassed a total of 9 events across 3 major categories, including jump rope, broadcast gymnastics, and competitive gymnastics. A total of 278 gymnasts from 13 universities, including WHSU, Central China Normal University, and Hubei University, competed on the same stage.
