The Hubei Rhythmic Gymnastics Reserve Talent Training Camp 2025 officially began at the gymnastics hall of Wuhan Sports University (WHSU) on the morning of March 2. Present at the opening ceremony were Zheng Lihui, member of the Leading Party Members Group and Vice Head of the Hubei Administration of Sport; Zhu Lei, member of the Standing Committee of Party Committee and Vice President of WHSU; Wu Jian, Party Branch Secretary and Director of the Gymnastics Management Center of Hubei Administration of Sport; Lu Huiping, Deputy Director of the Gymnastics Management Center of Hubei Administration of Sport; and team members of the School of Competitive Sports.

In his opening address, Zhu Lei highlighted that the organization of the Hubei Rhythmic Gymnastics Reserve Talent Training Camp is a key initiative for WHSU's contribution to the development of sports in Hubei. He affirmed that this reflects WHSU's commitment to social responsibility and its contributions to building China into a leading sporting nation. Zhu encouraged all athletes to cherish this opportunity and immerse themselves in training with a strong belief, enthusiasm, and perseverance, striving to break through their limits and continuously improve their technical skills and overall quality.

Zheng Lihui declared the official opening of the training camp.

This training camp brought together athletes and coaches from cultural and tourism bureaus (and sports bureaus) of various cities, autonomous prefectures, directly governed county-level cities, and Shennongjia Forestry District, as well as from schools at all levels, kindergartens, youth palaces, and sports social organizations or clubs, along with individual rhythmic gymnasts. Through a rigorous selection process, it aims to identify top young athletes and develop reserve talent for the Hubei Province Rhythmic Gymnastics Team.
