On Sept. 26, Wang Zongyuan and Zheng Jiuyuan competed together in the men's synchronized 3m springboard final at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.

The pair were in perfect sync and led from start to finish, taking control from the opening round.
They were rock-solid on the required dives and continued to widen their lead on the optional dives, completing the full series with clean execution. With 465.87 points from six dives, they finished 110.31 points clear of second place to claim gold by a commanding margin.

China extended its winning streak in the event to seven consecutive Asian Games titles. China has won every gold medal in the event since it was added to the Asian Games program in Busan.

Clean entries, barely a splash. Wang Zongyuan added another Asian Games gold to his tally. The gold was a proud moment for WHSU.
