
From May 22 to 27, the preliminary rounds of the dragon and lion dance competitions for the 15th National Games of the People’s Republic of China were successfully held in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province. The event was jointly organized by the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Dragon and Lion Dance Sports Association. Demonstrating remarkable teamwork and an indomitable competitive spirit, our university’s dragon and lion dance team achieved exceptional results: securing first place in the optional routine of dragon dance, second place in the optional routine of dragon ribbon dance, fourth place in the compulsory routine of dragon dance, and fourth place in obstacle dragon dance.


The competition featured over 100 teams and more than 1,300 athletes from 23 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country. Our university was represented by 51 student-athletes from the School of Physical Education and the School of Art, all of whom qualified for the finals of the National Games in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area across all events.
